Change in Plans
Last week, I was told that my company could no longer pay me and my last day would be November 14. Working in the real estate industry I saw this coming but was happily living in denial and praying they would be able to keep me until, at least, the middle of December. Well as we all know things usually don't go as planned and this definitely put a wrench in our plans. Our choices were either for me to find a temporary job for a month or for me to move back to Utah early. Matt and I have decided our best option is for me to move back early. Hopefully, I will be able to land a job before Matt is done and we won't have a period of us both being unemployed. So if anyone knows of someone hiring, let me know. :) I feel like I have a million things to do before I leave and I'm sad to say goodbye to some really good friends. It was a bittersweet decision because I am extremely excited to be home and see everyone again and at the same time sad that Matt won't be with me. It will be the second year in a row that we will be apart for the holidays and birthdays but I'm hoping it will be the last. Luckily, we will only be apart for alittle over a month this time and we will be able to talk to eachother whenever we want. Matt is taking a few days off to help drive Roxie and I back to Utah and then he will be flying out, basically as soon as we roll in. Then at the end of December I am hoping to be able to fly out to Virginia and help him drive back. This plan will make it so we are able to ride in the same car with eachother and keep eachother entertained. I'm looking forward to our road trips and seeing you all before Thanksgiving!

Happy Halloween!!

This year we had a pretty calm Halloween. We didn't get dressed up or go to any Halloween parties. Instead we carved pumpkins, watched scary movies and handed out candy. Last year I was only home for alittle over an hour but got a ton of trick or treaters, so this year I told Matt we had to buy lots and lots of candy. Well we had about 15 kids come to door and we have LOADS of candy leftover. I don't think I will ever hear the end of this one. Oh yeah I almost forgot Matt made a yummy Halloween cake too.
